Zwembadpompen worden aangesloten op 230V of 115V. De meeste werken op 230V en zijn van fabriek uit daarop ingesteld. Als je je eigen pomp wilt aansluiten, moet je eerst controleren welke spanning vanuit de huisgroepskast naar de pomp komt. Daarnaast moet je ervoor zorgen dat de elektriciteitsvoorziening overeenkomt met de spanning, fase en frequentie van de motor, en dat alle bedrading voldoet aan de lokale voorschriften en NEC-normen. Als je je hier niet zeker van bent of niet bekend bent met de elektrische voorschriften, laat dan een professional de pomp aansluiten of laat in ieder geval je werk nakijken. Een verkeerde aansluiting kan elektrische schokken veroorzaken, de pompmotor beschadigen of de garantie ongeldig maken.
