Description from the creator

Bulb grease; you have probably been recommended it at the auto parts store, and you probably turned it down. This video explains what bulb grease/dielectric grease is used for, what the best practices are, and generally why you should consider using it for most of your light bulbs.

Inexpensive bulb grease: amzn.to/2qR8sIY
Larger amount: amzn.to/2NoXuC7

Bulb grease can also be called dielectric grease. Both of them are a clear-white silicone-based thick grease that is waterproof and has excellent sealing properties. Applying it properly on your lighting components will extend their life, make assembly and disassembly easier, and reduce the chances of costly damages happening.

Dielectric grease is not conductive, so unless you are confident that you will be still be making metal to metal contact at all electrical connections, it is better to not risk putting any bulb/dielectric grease on the electrical contacts. Use your best judgement and apply only where you are confident.
