They're very easy to clean and you'll save money. I recommend checking the spark arrestor screen once a year on your leaf blower, chainsaw, or trimmer. When the screen gets clogged your machine will sound really quiet, hard starting, and when you rev it the engine it will bog down I've had this happen to me before with the Echo SRM 2400SB 3 years ago and the spark arrestor screen was completely clogged and was never cleaned since brand new in 2002.
