How can do you order custom plates?

There are a total of 3 ways to get custom plates Online, Mail and by Phone. This video I focus on the online process.

How much do custom plates cost?

Custom plates can be ordered by paying the initial amount and then a renewal fee every time you renew your registration. Prices start as low as $50 and then $40 per year to renew after that for legacy plates.

Can you get custom plates for a leased or financed car?

Yes, as long as the car is not leased through a corporation. You will be able to get custom plates for it.

Can you transfer a custom plate to another vehicle?

Yes, custom plates can be reassigned to any vehicle you own.

Can you sell your custom plates to friend?

No, custom plates cannot be sold only way to give you plates away is to return them back to the DMV. Then they will be released to the public once again.
