Hey guys, John here with RealTruck.com. Today, I want to show you how to install the Undercover LUX SE Tonneau Cover on to this 2014 GMC Sierra. What we have here for our parts is we have our driver's side, our front installation brackets for driver and passengers side, our wear insulation brackets for driver and passenger side, and also our gas struts for both sides as well, and our attaching hardware plus a really cool feature of this tonneau cover it comes with a kit that you can use, so you can take this thing easily off the truck and hang it up on the wall in your garage if you don't need it. Keeps it out of the way. Doesn't get damaged. Plus, also your installation instructions, the main installation instruction, and then also it comes with vehicle specific installation instructions. All right, so the first process of our installation is to break out the instructions. You want to take a look at that and see what you need to do. And I'm going to tell you right off. You're going to need a tape measure. And you're going to need something to mark with, and we have our marking pin, because we're going to be measuring where our brackets go. Now, one of the really cool things as you can see about this tonneau cover, when you order this tonneau cover it comes with the factory paint code that you put in, already prepainted so you don't have to send this thing off to a shop to get it painted.
All right guys, one of the first things we're going to do here is we're going to measure out for our brackets where we're going to place them on the truck. In order to do that, we're going to take our tape measure, and we want to go from the inside of the bulk head. Now, make sure that you do it like this. Otherwise, it's going to throw your installation all off. So, start on the inside of the bulk head right up against there, measure out for your back bracket 43 inches which is going to be right here, and then we're going to put a mark right here on our bed cap. All right, so the next thing we're going to do is we're going to measure off for our back one. And it's going to be measured the same way from the inside of the bulk head. We're going to measure out 16 inches, and then we're going to put a little mark. What we're going to do then is we're going to do the same thing on the other side. So that we've got this all set up and ready to start attaching our mounting brackets.
