This is just a quick video on how to measure a driveshaft. When measuring for driveshaft length you need to measure from center of yoke to center on the opposite yoke. Now depending on how you measure your Yoke will change the length, however in most cases a 1/4" difference won't matter if you got about 5" of slip yoke.
