How to Record Car Exhaust: Do you really need expensive microphones?

One of the most important parts of any car video is of course the exhaust audio.

Getting good exhaust audio is hard to do. Wind noise muffles or completely drowns out the sound of the exhaust at speed.

Today I show you how to get great exhaust audio to go along with your car videos. There are obviously multiple ways to get good audio, but I wanted to make this video for people who may just be getting started recording videos with their cars and don't want to invest huge amounts of money into microphones to record the exhaust.

The Iphone and the supplied headphones do a great job of recording car exhaust audio which can then be used with GoPro Video footage.
