Removing body oils from leather is a very common occurrence in the leather industry as leather is a natural porous material. These stains will show themselves in high body contact areas such as our hands, arms, head, and legs. They are very easily identified by a dark appearance those areas.

If leather repair or restoration is needed, body oils MUST be removed before attempting to recolor or repair the leather as they will act as an adhesion deterrent to the fillers and coatings on protected leathers and will just stay dark on aniline dyed leathers.

In this video I will discuss the use of Leather Degreaser and show the product in action.
