Description from the creator

Save yourself $300+ in shop fees and replace the axle yourself! The process for the passenger side is the same. The overall process (start to clean up) should take about an hour and a half or two. Relatively easy job, but air tools do come in handy for the removal of the bolts.

P.S. I apologize for some of the repair process that didn't get filmed, such as removing the pinch bolt for the control arms and the tie rod end. With the holidays and other repairs going on my mind got a bit jumbled. The pinch bolt was a 16mm head and bolt while the tie rod end, if I recall correctly, was a 13mm pinch bolt and nut on top of the tie rod end itself. Use a hammer to knock the control arms and tie-rod end out of the upright steering knuckle/hub piece. Be careful as if not held in place, it will swing down and out with considerable force.

New Axle (Surtrack/Trakmotive AD8091, ~ $50 at time of filming. I would recommend higher quality if you have the means): rockauto.com/en/catalog/audi,2005,s4,4.2l+v8,14…
