There are a couple of failure points in the charging system on your Yamaha Grizzly, and in this video we’ll show you how to test and replace one of those parts. First, we’ll show you how to test the stator on your Yamaha ATV, and then we’ll take it a step further if you find out that it has gone bad.

John will show you how to replace the stator on your Yamaha Grizzly 700, and that starts by draining the radiator fluid and oil. Then, we’ll get to work removing the water pump housing and the crankcase cover. We’ll get the old stator out, replace it with a new one, and replace the gaskets on the crankcase cover and the water pump housing. Once that’s done, you can route the cables from the stator to the pickup and the regulator rectifier.
