In this video, I clean and protect the undercarriage of my little bro’s Golf; Julia. I used a few products to get it clean, and I’ve even showed you before how to do it.

We further the procedure after degreasing the underside of the car, by following it up with some 3M rubberized undercoat. We picked up a 6 pack to do each of the wheel wells, and the undercarriage of the car.

The entire frame was essentially coated, and the main parts we didn’t want to undercoat is any rotating part, the engine, the transmission, the exhaust, the brakes, the wheels, and anything that would get excessively hot.

By doing this, we can further the life of the car, by preventing the vehicle from rusting. Ideally, we would want the mechanical parts of the car to die on us, before the body does, hence this rust prevention.
