Even though many top players use it, I haven't really seen any tutorial for this, so I decided to make one myself. You need to have a fairly good understanding of basic PvP mechanics to be able to follow this tutorial, so if nothing makes sense I'd recommend that you go to pvpoke.com and run some simulations so that you get a feel for how the turn based fighting system is built.

To summarize, the undertap is when your opponent makes a charge move while you make a fast move, and you stop tapping for 0.5 seconds after their charge move to receive the energy from your fast move and fire off your own charge move earlier than if you had just kept on tapping like one normally do.
