How to Unblock An RV Toilet

This method is quick, simple, cheap and always fixes a blocked RV toilet!

Blockages! Pooh pyramids, tanks that have a low fluid to solid ratio, toilet tissue and other sanitary products can result in you needing to unblock something in the black tank system. We've developed a simple and reliable method to help customers who buy/hire RVs from us - thought it might be useful to you.

Ask your builders merchant for a length of flexible plastic pipe (MDPE, alkathene, speedfit, Stateside PEX) you'll need about 5', 20-25mm is the ideal diameter. It's advisable to wear gloves, and for protection from splashing, we recommend a mask, eye protection and a sheet of plastic for your floor. When you rod your toilet be careful not to damage the trap door seal, and don't be overly forceful - you do not want to damage your tank!

Oh, and remember, if it won't go through you, it won't go through the loo; make sure to share that with anyone using your facilities so you'll not have to do this more than once in your lifetime!
