Description from the creator

This Video has been put together as basic advice on the treatment of all Australian Snake Bites. The technique used is the Pressure Immobilization Technique or Pressure Bandage Technique. This technique is also the current recommended treatment for the bite of the Funnel Web Spider,Sting of the Cone Shell and the bite of the Blue Ringed Octopus. In all cases rapid treatment, and access to emergency medical facilities is vital to the outcome of the patient.
A snake bite kit is an important consideration if you are involved in any form of outdoor activities in Australia such as bush walking, hiking, geocaching, MTB, or any thing else and you should not rely solely on your first aid kit for these items. At a bare minimum 1 good 10cm elastic bandage is going to be a good help however the ideal is at least three bandages to give you or someone you are helping the best possible chance at survival.

This Video was carried out in a test environment and of course given the subect matter it is not possible to test the kit on a real snake bite however the practice shown is currently accepted as the best possible standard of treatment for bites from any Australian snakes.
