Flipgrid is a video tool for social engagement that allows educators to post topics for students to respond to. Students film a short video, view videos from other students and their teachers, the topic can be focused on any document, asset, video, etc. Students can attach Snapchat and Instagram type filters, stickers, and text.

As a science teacher, I plan to use Flipgrid to build community and develop connections with my students remotely in a personal way. I defined a personal mission statement that includes three parts, laugh, learn, and live inspirationally. I created three topics along these lines and will ask students to respond to one or more of them every few weeks.

What uses. do you see for your class?
