How to Accept Credit Cards Payments Online

Payment processing allows me to take money through credit cards, online, real easy. When we’re choosing a payment processor, we want to consider 1) the ease of use, 2) the amount of branding I can keep on my site and 3) the fees that we might have to pay along the way.

Let’s start with the easiest way to accept payments online: Gumroad. When you come to Gumroad, you can sell an online class, a book, an album, anything. It’s super easy to use, but there is a low amount of branding that can be done here. Great for getting started and hobbyist, bad for a more complex or professional business.

Shopify is another good example of being able to sell things today. Super easy, and customizable.

Stripe (what we use at One Month) provides the most customization, but it’s not easy to use unless you are a developer.
