When you turn on cookies in Chrome, or in any other browser, web sites that need cookies store them on your computer when you visit such sites.

Cookies contain such data as your last login to the web site, the details of items in your shopping cart and the time you spent on a page. So, you need to know how to allow cookies on Chrome to let the sites work correctly.

By default, Chrome is set to accept cookies. If someone who uses, or has used, your computer has blocked them, then you should turn on cookies in Chrome. Otherwise, you will see issues in the way some web sites work.

Consider, for example, gmail.com. This site needs to store cookies and read data from them. If it can't, you cannot login to the site. It will most likely display a message, asking you to enable cookies in the browser.

Is it possible to allow cookies Chrome from only some web sites? Yes. First, you need to block all cookies. Then, tell Chrome, through the Allow option, to enable cookies from the sites of your choice. Likewise, you can block cookies from specific sites. First, you need to enable cookies in browser.
