Description from the creator

Summer Work Series // How to Annotate a Text // Annotation Tools & Tips

College instructors - grad students, adjuncts, tenure-track, or tenured - tend to devote a lot of time to research over the summer while our teaching load is lighter or non-existent. Reading and annotating academic books, journal articles, and other texts take up a lot of our time. But, with all the books and articles we use in our research, what tools can we use to keep everything organized?

I describe my favorite research tools in this video, but for tips on how to structure your research routine over the summer, check out my related blog post: evereducating.com/summer-research

I've also created a "Summer Research Routine Checklist" and have added it to my free resource library. Since you're just starting to get to know me, though, here's a direct link to the PDF: evereducating.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Su…

If you'd like to make sure not to miss any of my future teaching tips, tools, and resources, make sure to join my blog's email list (you'll also gain access to my resource library): bit.ly/2vpan6I.

If you want a step-by-step guide to creating an easy to navigate digital filing system for your research, here's the link to that blog post: evereducating.com/create-digital-filing-system

If you're unsure what a discbound notebook is, here's a website with tons of options (though I suggest buying them with coupons at stores like Joanns): shop.meandmybigideas.com/collections/happy-notes
