Until a month ago, it was possible to import and transcribe podcasts, audio files, and videos that were more than 40 minutes with the Basic Otter plan that has 600 free minutes.

Unfortunately, the terms have changed and you can only import 3 files as a trial for the basic plan and record audio for up to 40 minutes.

The solution for this lies in the Refer and Earn program where you get a premium pass to use premium features that include importing multiple files that are longer than 40 minutes.

The premium pass you get once someone joins Otter using your referral link is automatically generated and covers a 1-month membership.

When you get more referrals, it adds up to what you already have and therefore if you have 12 referrals you'll get one year of free premium features on Otter.
