How to Choose a Nursing School

Hi guys!
Thank you so much for watching my channel! And thank you Monica Lichtenwalner
For the video suggestion!!
When I was editing the video I realized that there was a lot more I wanted to share about the NCLEX pass rates.
The specific terminology for this is: NCLEX first time pass rates; this means, the number of students who passed the NCLEX examination on the first attempt.
I know that I mentioned to beware of programs with 100% ratings for multiple years in a row. The best rate I think to look for would be 80-95%... this is just a guestimate... but like I said, a perfect rate, could keep a capable student from even reaching boards. Also, keep in mind that even if you do not pass on the first attempt, which happens all the time... you can take it again. But the schools score will not change once you pass.
The best way to find this is by placing the name of the state and then searching for NCLEX first time pass rates. For example: Florida NCLEX pass rate. Then just search for the college(s) your thinking about attending.
To find out the attrition rate, you have to call the college and ask them how many students they accept per year or semester. Also, try to ask how many students finished the program last year; but depending on who you are speaking with, they may not tell you. But you can then, go back to the same website where you saw the NCLEX first time pass rate & you can see how many students took the NCLEX. This will give you a rough estimate on how many students finished the program!
So for the website where you can find some awesome information on how to become a nurse, you can visit: RNtoBSN.org... the site is set to go live next week, so stay tuned!
I will also tweet out the opening, so if you don't already, please follow me on twitter:
