Description from the creator

In this video well learn to convert moles of CO2 to grams using both a simple formula and the factor label method. For our practice problem we’ll convert 25.0g of CO2 to moles.

The formula:

moles = grams / molar mass

is helpful but is limited to gram to mole (or mole to gram) conversions.

The second method demonstrated, the factor label method, is a more general technique for converting quantities. Once you understand how it works it can be applied to many different conversion (as long as you know the conversion factor).

To build understanding you may find the mole map (breslyn.org/chemistry/stoich/Printable-Mole-Map…) helpful to find the grams of CO2.
