Debating atheists used to be a popular pass-time for me. And I used to ask myself all the time, how do I convert an atheist to Christianity or just spirituality in general? Atheists can seem insurmountable, maybe you're asking yourself how do I conquer atheism, how do I refute atheism, or how do you destroy atheism as a function of culture. The truth is, all of these questions really miss the point. The way to over-come atheism is to not engage the debate at all! We live in this 'Atheist vs Christian' 'Atheist vs Muslim' sort of paradigm but atheists are just people like the rest of us, and chances are, they're probably atheists because of some past experience, perhaps even a trauma that's left them resentful toward the religious. Everyone wants to know, where is the proof that god is real? How do we know if God exists? The truth is that you only know when you've experienced it for yourself.
