How to create a working contact form in Jekyll - Tutorial 5

[No CLI used] In this video I will be showing how to create forms in static websites like Github pages or Jekyll blogs.

Form created : redgadget.github.io/form
Real example: redgadget.github.io/MyFirstWebsite/#three
Tools used: formspree.io

formspree.io is a free service where the form details entered will be posted to their website and it in turn, sends a mail back to us with all the data.

I would not recommend this to be used on forms where the data entered in the form is confidential. Because a copy of the data is kept in formspree database.

But for all other general purpose forms where the data is not so crucial then formspree is a great option.

I have explained 'making a form in Github pages' in the following steps

1. Create a new repository and inside that create an index.html file in Github pages branch.

2. Copy paste the code from formspree into the body of index.html.

3. Make necessary changes such as your email address and appearance as you wish.

4. Try the form yourself by entering some data. It will ask you to confirm it when you are using it for the first time.

5. Now the form works whenever someone submits some data and a mail will appear in your inbox!
