Creating an art portfolio website is essential for any visual artist who wants to sell original art online. But often times artists forget to use a business mentality when creating their artist website. Most artists are going to sell most of their art predominantly offline. An artist website is just a tool, a tool you can use properly or improperly. Always be aware that your artist portfolio website is nothing more then a place where people can make a first encounter with you, and one encounter is never enough. So your artist website mainly serves one purpose, encouraging people to open themselves for further contact with you.
