How to delete posts from a Facebook group 2017

HI Paul here from PRwilson Media. Now when you run a group and you allow peeple to post to that group and you have a particular topic or theme that you've even set up in the group rules, the description and what it's all about it's annoying when somebody posts something that you think - that's not relevant I want to remove it . Well here's how you can manage the situation.

Right so , we are scrolling through and we've found this particular post we are not sure about. I'll click on the 3 dots here . I can turn on or off commenting on the post. If I liked it , I could actually pin it to the top of the group even though it's from another member. But here, I've got the simple option to either delete the post or the more extreme version delete the post and remove the user. So you might want to give somebody a bit of a warning shot , just to let them know that's not the right type of content in the first instance. And if they are repeat offenders then you remove them completely from the group

So I'm just going to say delete post for now and confirm that. Again these are all relevant to the topic so that's great no problem there. And if you want to look a bit more at how the group is managed people can report posts you can see it's shown there the records. You can even report to Facebook itself , you can also choose to go through to member requests and here you've got the options to really make sure you get the right people in the group in the first place.

So one way to do that is to ask pending members a question. So you could say "Are you intending to organize an event in 2017?" (as this is a swim event group) , add any additional questions that they need to answer and that way it will stop people automatically applying to join groups that are typically the open groups would be of that kind of nature but this should make sure that people are genuinely in that group and want to participate and follow whatever rules and keep on the topic most importantly that you are discussing.

Of course you can click on the individual members as well and with each person in there you've got the option next to them either to make them admin, make them a moderator so they can contribute or even remove them entirely from the group. So lots of options there within the group settings.
