In this video Tim Viavant, a fisheries biologist for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, shows how to dipnet for salmon from a boat in the Chitina salmon fishery. He shows the various locations you can launch your boat, and discusses some of the specifics of boating in the Copper River. He then shows exactly how to dipnet.
