How to Draw ALITA (Alita: Battle Angel) | Narrated Easy Step-by-Step Tutorial

Here's to a brand new, awesomely kickass superheroine outside of the video game or Marvel/DC universe!

Well, not exactly brand new. ALITA has been around since 1990. First as a manga called GUNNM, or BATTLE ANGEL ALITA. Then it was made into an animated film. Then, after years of production delays, director James Cameron finally felt the technology has caught up and tasked Robert Rodriguez to helm a live-action film, titled ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL.

What did you think of the movie? Let me know in the comments! No spoilers please!

This tutorial appears in the movie/TV characters playlist. Check it out here:

I'm also adding it to the manga/anime playlist since it is based off of the manga, "Gunnm". Check that out as well:

MOVIE SYNOPSIS:
Set several centuries in the future, the abandoned Alita is found in the scrapyard of Iron City by Ido, a compassionate cyber-doctor who takes the unconscious cyborg Alita to his clinic. When Alita awakens, she has no memory of who she is, nor does she have any recognition of the world she finds herself in. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious past.

● REMEMBER THESE TIPS AS YOU FOLLOW THIS TUTORIAL ●

IS IT TOO FAST? Hit pause or use the “speed” button at the bottom right of the video to catch up. Remember, we all draw at different speeds, so find a pace that works for you.

CHANGE IT UP! Feel free to customize your drawing — you don’t always have to do as I say!

RESULTS WILL VARY. If your drawings look a little different that mine, that’s okay. Also remember that we’re not trying to get a likeness of an actor or actress, so don’t worry about making your faces look like a specific person in real life. What counts is that you did your best!
