Description from the creator

With the upcoming movie on the horizon, let's draw the greatest master assassin of all time -- ALTAÏR from Assassin's Creed!

One of the things I like the most about Assassin's Creed is how its mythology is intertwined with real world history. From events like the crusades and the French Revolution, to characters like Richard I or Machiavelli, the nerd in me is drawn to the possibility of conspiracies around these events and characters.

I chose to draw the character of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad first because he is the most noble. From a tragic past of having lost everything, he still chose the most honorable path -- turning his grief and loss as motivation to shape the world he lived in.

Here's a great video about Altaïr's backstory:

Happy drawing,
Ramny

FROM WIKIPEDIA:
"Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad was a Syrian-born member of the Levantine Brotherhood of Assassins and served as their Mentor from 1191 until his death in 1257. Raised to be an Assassin from birth, Altaïr became a Master Assassin at age 25, the youngest to obtain the rank by that time."

● TIPS FOR MAKING AWESOME DRAWING SUGGESTIONS ●
Not all suggestions are the same. Some are great, but some are not so good. Here's how I sort them out:

1. Is it current? (From a TV show or game that's currently popular, from a movie that's coming up or just released in the last few months, or from a current run in the comic books, etc.)
2. Is it a popular, mainstream character? (People who don't usually watch the show/movie, or read the comics, still know the character.)
3. Is there enough interest from my viewers? (I keep a note of all suggestions made in the comments section.)
4. Is it a popular enough YouTube search? (I use a keyword tool to see how often people search for tutorials on characters, before I draw.)
5. Is it easy to do a tutorial on? (Some things are very difficult or time-consuming to do tutorials on.)

Since I get A TON of requests everyday, I ask all of you to please be patient with me as I can only do several tutorials per week. Thanks!
