Description from the creator

Hey Guys!!. Today I will be talking about the procedure for drawing Archimedean spiral.
Archimedean spiral is the locus of points corresponding to the locations over time of a point moving away from a fixed point with a constant speed along a line which rotates with constant angular velocity.
Initially draw a circle of radius equal to the pitch of the spiral given in the question (40 millimeters in this case).
Now divide circumference of the circle into 12 arcs of equal arc lengths, simply by drawing lines at 30 degrees, 60 degrees, and 90 degrees to the horizontal radius.
Then name the intersection point successively from 1 to 12 as shown below.
Also divide the radius of the circle into the 12 number of equal parts and name successively from 1 to 12 as shown below.
Now draw the arc; with center coincident to the center of the circle; and radius equal to the length from center of the circle to the particular point (say 2); to cut the corresponding line (line 2) to obtain the position of the point at that particular instant.
Proceed similarly to obtain the intersection point along each of 12 lines.
Now, simply join the intersection points by a smooth curve to obtain the Archimedean spiral.
