Description from the creator

Drawing an equilateral triangle Geometrically

In this video I'll show you how to construct an equilateral triangle with compass and straightedge or ruler.

What is equilateral triangle?
An equilateral triangle is one with all three sides the same length. It begins with a given line segment which is the length of each side of the desired equilateral triangle.

**Proof**
It works because the compass width is not changed between drawing each side, guaranteeing they are all congruent (same length). It is similar to the 60 degree angle construction, because the interior angles of an equilateral triangle are all 60 degrees.

This is a geometry lesson this branch of maths concerned with questions of shape, size, relative position of figures, and the properties of space. There are many shape of geometry and their method of drawing is change. You can draw a shape with more than one method. Some popular shapes are Triangles, squares, pentagon, hexagon, octagon and circles.
