This Adobe Illustrator tutorial goes over how to quickly and easily create great looking text effects. There are a ton of different effects built right into Illustrator that makes applying them just a few clicks away.

I also show how to add effects to grouped items like banners with text in the middle to make sure that everything lines up properly and looks great. The same thing applies to shape only objects, so these effects can be used however you best see fit.
