Tools used in this tutorial:

Rectangular Marquee Tool: In short, this tool allows you to create square or rectangular selections. To add to a selection, hold down your shift key. To subtract, hold down Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac).

Magic Wand Tool: This selection method helps you select areas of a similar color. When you click with the Magic Wand, Photoshop will select connecting areas that are of the same color, based on the tolerance (which is set on the Options Bar). The higher the tolerance value, the more will be selected.

Layer Masks: If there's an area of your layer that you wish to hide (or bring back), Layer Masks will help you do that. Painting using a black brush will hide portions of the layer, and painting with a white brush will reveal them.

Content-Aware Move: The Content-Aware Move Tool, found in the Tools Bar, works by creating a selection around your subject, then dragging it to its new location. Photoshop will analyze the surrounding area and do its best to blend it in as best as possible.
