Description from the creator

Dr. Barko shows us one of the ways to actually get rid of plantar warts FOR GOOD! This patient (who is a favorite of Dr. Barko's...any guesses who it might be?) has been suffering from these warts for over 4 years! Many patients come to us after using over the counter products, duct tape or other home remedies that haven't worked. It's best to save your money and time by seeing us first if you suspect you have a plantar wart.

Plantar warts are a special type of wart that is most common among kids and teens. They start out as small lesions on the bottom of the foot that look a bit like a callus. As the wart grows inward, you’ll start to notice black pinpoints on the surface, which are actually tiny drops of clotted blood.

Without treatment, these little warts will grow and keep growing, sometimes up to one inch in diameter.

Dr. Barko treats this patient's plantar warts by debriding the dead skin around the wart and then applying cantharone over a series of three appointments to kill the warts.
