How to get rid of moths Using Moth Traps. A big key to stopping a moth infestation in a closet, or in the kitchen or in the garage is controlling how they mate or in this case don't mate! The best moth repellent, and a very close technique to getting rid of moths naturally, is using a moth trap. The bate lures the male moth onto the sticky cardboard and they are unable to escape. This is a very low tech way of getting rid of moths without mothballs! In the pantry be sure to check any grain foods that have been open for an extended period of time; in the garage check for old bags of bird seed, grass seed, or anything that might be used in the yard. Remember to check closets, bathrooms, bedrooms and all cabinets in the kitchen when you see more than a few moths- This may be the start of an infestation. Use these "Able Catch Pantry Pest Traps" moth traps in any room or garage, but be sure to keep them in an area away from pets and young children. I much prefer a moth trap over a bug bomb to kill pantry moths, kitchen moths or any moths inside the house - I just don't like the bombs! See product link below.
