Description from the creator

NGO-Academy.org When you are engaged in advocacy, public relations or any public work, you are in a position to influence people's thinking... that is, if you can speak TO them, where they are, in ways that are meaningful and make sense to them.
While not rocket science, the art of influence... or at least getting heard, is critical for NGOs who want to impact global policy, advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves but ARE influenced by global policy, and so on.
Usually, at the UN or any international or intergovernmental meetings, you have very few moments to make an impact. So honing your "influence skills" is imperative.
Sometimes your impact doesn't produce the immediate results you want, but you can't make a difference unless you get out there and get started!
For NGOs representatives who have a vision of working effectively at the UN, take the few minutes to watch this, then learn more, and more. Just get going and love learning!
