How to Get Your Self-Published Book Into Bookstores

Is it possible to get a self-published book into a bookstore? Absolutely! There are a few things you need to do to make sure your book is available to sell in bookstores:

- Produce a professional product! We shouldn't be able to tell a difference between your book and a traditionally published book. Use a professional designer and editor. Purchase your own ISBN (instead of using one from the platform).
- Make it easy for bookstores to purchase your book! One big issue is returns. You have to accept returns, otherwise a bookstore won't want to risk selling your book.
- Build relationships with bookstore owners! Be someone that they recognize. Like anything else, the relationships here will matter.
