Description from the creator

When you are putting in a ceiling fan with remote controls the first thing to do is put the receiver in the fan itself, but then you also need to install the switches which replace the light switches for your fan and light, so how do you why are these? The answer is you need to know where all the wires go and make sure to be careful to keep all the switches properly wired. In this video you will find out how to wire a four way switch which includes three remote controls plus the ceiling fan and light.

In my case I had one switch which was not working (the whole thing was already properly wired) and while trying to fix one switch I ended up, after a number of missteps and miscalculations, burning out ALL THREE of the remote to control the fan, and I didn’t even know which wire went to what anymore, so after a friend brought over a resistance tester, I was able to figure out which wire went where, label the wires with colored tape, figure out what the sequence needed to make all three remotes work with the fan, and finally get it all wired back together. It was my big mistake for the week, but I did save the fee for paying for an electrician. What it did not do was to save the expense from buying the three new switches which cost about $100 delivered.
