How to Install GLPI ver 9x on CentOS 7
GLPI is the Information Resource-Manager with an additional Administration Interface.

* Overview Features

GLPI is an open-source IT asset management software which the most useful features such as network inventory software,
server asset management or computer asset management, hardware asset management, software asset management, and IT asset tracking .
It is a good IT asset management software used to build up a database with an inventory devices such as computer, software, and printers, ….etc.
It has enhanced functions to make the daily life for the administrators easier,
like a job-tracking-system and IT asset tracking with mail-notification and methods to build a database with basic information about your network-topology.

GLPI has the following features.

– Inventory of computers, peripherals, network printers etc.
– Management of issues on many environments through creation of tickets, management of tickets, assignment, tickets scheduling, etc.
– Licenses management (ITIL compliant).
– Assignment of equipment by geographical area to users and groups.
– Management of business and financial information (purchase, guarantee and extension, damping).
– Equipment status management.
– Management of applications for assistance of all types of equipment inventory.
– Interface to allow the user to file a support ticket.
– Business management, contracts, documents related to inventory items.
– Equipment booking.

* Setup and Installing GLPI on CentOS 7

-Step 1 : To install GLPI IT asset management software, we need to install LAMP
+ 1.1. Enable EPEL repository for a CentOS 7.x
# yum install epel-release
+ 1.2. Install LAMP for Server
#yum -y install httpd php php-mysql php-pdo php-gd php-mbstring php-imap php-ldap mariadb mariadb-server mariadb-devel wget
+ 1.3. Enable Apache and MariaDB service to start it a the system boot and start its service.
# systemctl enable httpd
# systemctl start httpd
# systemctl enable mariadb
# systemctl start mariadb
+ 1.4. Ensure services Apache and Mariadb is running :
# systemctl status httpd
# systemctl status mariadb
+ 1.5. Now let do the security hardening of MariaDB
# mysql_secure_installation

-Step 2 : Create a Database for GLPI

We need to create a database and a user for GLPI on CentOS 7 server and grant it all database privileges.
#mysql -uroot -p
create database glpidb;
grant all privileges on glpidb.* to glpiuser@localhost identified by 'glpipwd';
flush privileges;

-Step 3 : Install and Config GLPI

+ 3.1. Now let move to the installation directory for IT asset management software, /var/www/html, download and extract it.
#cd /var/www/html
# wget github.com/glpi-project/glpi/releases/download/…
# tar -xvf glpi-9.1.3.tgz
# rm -fr glpi-9.1.3.tgz

+ 3.2. We need to make sure that the permissions on the GPLI IT asset management software root directories are set correctly
# chmod -R 775 /var/www/glpi
# chown -R apache:apache /var/www/glpi

+ 3.3.Finally, we are ready to install GPLI IT asset management software via browser.
IP-Server/glpi (192.168.2.88/glpi)

+ 3.4. Fix error : Web access to the files directory,should not be allowed.Check the .htaccess file and the web server configuration.
Open file config : vim /etc/http/conf/http.conf
Change all line : AllowOverride None to AllowOverride All
