This video shows how to add Lyx on your linux operating system. What is Lyx? LyX is on of the best document processor that encourages an approach to writing based on the structure of your documents (WYSIWYM). Lyx is appropriate for scientist, student and writer.

Now, there are few steps to add lyx to your linux.
1. Add the PPA for the 'release', i.e. stable, compilation

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lyx-devel/release

2. Update so that apt is aware of the new PPA

sudo apt-get update

3. Install from the PPA

sudo apt-get install lyx

4. Run LyX by open terminal and type:

lyx
