Description from the creator

In this video I show the proper way of making Absinthe at home and using a Soxhlet extractor. I made this batch from the original ingredients: wormwood, calamus root, aniseed, coriander, star anise, hyssop, peppermint and fennel seed. The ratios may vary from recipe to recipe so it is pointless to discuss that. The end product was a greenish black hard liquor with a very high essential oil content. It shows the Ouzo-effect when diluted with chilled water although the dark colour masks the emulsion. Tastes perfect, as expected. It is 170 proof (US), has a 85% V/V alcohol content (EU). If you have some questions, comment and hopefully I will be able to answer it very soon. Keep brewing!
