How to make an Abstract Action Splatter Painting

In this exciting art lesson k-2 students learn how to make their own abstract splatter painting in a way that is not too messy! My students LOVE splatter painting. This lesson I use mostly with my kindergarteners. For my older students, I add extra steps.

SO if you LOVE splatter painting and jackson POLLOCK- check out this art lesson youtube.com/watch?v=b0yfKtiIf4M where I have my 4th grade art students create a solar system using different abstract techniques. The stars in the solar system are splatter painted on black paper! Be sure to check that out!

ALSO if you want a not so messy, DIGITAL way to create a splatter painting ( for distance learning / virtual students who are homeschooled or learning from home) check out this website jacksonpollock.org/ YOU CAN MAKE A SPLATTER painting right on your computer using your MOUSE. It is fun, therapeautic and you can save your digital artwork to your computer to SHARE!!!! YAY
