Measuring airflow is one of the most challenging aspects of being an HVAC technician. In this video, I demonstrate how to use the Fieldpiece STA2 to accurately measure airflow in a residential air conditioning system.

The Fieldpiece STA2 is a temperature compensated hot-wire anemometer designed for residential and light commercial airflow testing, balancing, and system commissioning. The easy to use STA-2 has a 38" telescoping probe with a flattened side to provide an easy reference of probe position relative to the airflow. Featuring both point and timed average measurement methods along with the ability to input area to directly calculate CFM, the Fieldpiece STA-2 is easy to use and quick. Perfect for setting initial airflow and verifying correct airflow when servicing, the STA2 will be your go to tool to make sure the airflow is correct and the system is operating at its peak capacity.
