HOW TO MEMORIZE LINES|| acting tools

Do you have a bug audition coming up? A play to do? A script to learn?? Then this is the video for you!
I have 5 steps that I use to help memorize lines quickly and effectively!!
STEP 1: READ EVERYTHING!! Not just your own lines but every word on every page! The more information you have the more you will be able to understand about the part and the better you can understand your character and lines!

STEP 2: Write your lines down and say them out loud as you do! It may feel silly but if you concentrate on the words it will help cement them into your mind!

STEP 3: Read the scene out loud with a partner. It really helps to hear the lines being spoken and to find a rhythm !

STEP 4: Read your lines right before you fall asleep. Let them be the last thing you look at before you close your eyes and they will be the first thing you remember when you open them!

STEP 5: Be yourself in the room and don't get hung up on the lines. Know the intention and purpose of the scene and feel free to ad lib and create your own moments within it!!
