Memorization is a principle part of the grammar phase of classical education. This video provides an example of how to use a story as a memory technique. Fifth and Sixth Grade students at Midland Christian School (www.midlandchristianschool-mi.org) used this mnemonic trick to ace their test on the 13 colonies in Mrs. Johnson's class. You and your students can use this approach to learn all sorts of material.
