How to play acestream in Mac OS with VLC natively

In this video I will show you how to play acestream streams natively in Mac OS. We will use the Acestream Media Server and the native VLC app for Mac.

Here are the steps:
-Download Soda Player (we need to easely download the Acestream Media Server)
-Install it and run it
-IMPORTANT STEP! Try to play an acestream at least one time to Force Sodaplayer to download all the needed Wine files (sorry I forgot to mention this in the video)
-Delete the SodaPayer.app (we won’t need it, but just delete the app)
-Go to /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Soda Player/acestream/Contents/MacOS and run Acestream shortcut
-Right click in the Acestream Icon and open the Media Server
-Add some acestream content to the mediaserver using the “Add content” or “Add playlist”. For the acestream only use the numbers without the protocol of the url. (more info in the video)
-Grab the Media Server url from the “Playlist URL” and copy it
-Open the VLC.app and open a Network stream with Cmd+N
-Paste the Media Server Playlist url and…
-Enjoy it!!!
