Description from the creator

So you've seen our DNA vs RNA and Protein Synthesis videos, but now you may be wondering how to use those codon charts to determine the amino acids of a protein? You've come to the right video! Join the Amoeba Sisters as they show how to work through a rectangular and circular codon chart. Also, find our video companion under the topic "codon charts" on our handout page amoebasisters.com/handouts

We cover the basics in biology concepts at the secondary level. If you are looking to discover more about biology and go into depth beyond these basics, our recommended reference is the FREE, peer reviewed, open source OpenStax biology textbook: openstax.org/details/books/biology-2e
Codons and the amino acids they code for are represented by standard charts that can be found in the public domain. Different codon chart types can also be found in the public domain, and two examples that are useful for reference are below.
