Description from the creator

In this week's field tips, we'll take a look at how to repair damaged arrow fletchings with steam. Then I'll show you how to adjust the fit of plastic nocks.

Steaming the bent or damaged feathers causes them to straighten like magic in just a few seconds. No need to re-fletch the arrows. You also can adjust the fit of your plastic nocks by heating them a little and pinching them together to get a better fit on your bow string.

A proper nock fit to the bow string is an important but often overlooked part of the bow and arrow setup. A nock that is too loose or too tight can cause all sorts of tuning issues making it impossible to properly tune your bow and arrows.

An arrow that fits properly will hold itself on the string but come loose with a light tap on the bow string. A nock that is to loose can move down the bow string upon release. One that is too tight will dramatically slow arrow speed as well as cause arrow flight issues.
