You know who these people are. They love to "compliment" you with something that makes you feel bad. They might say, "I love your new kitchen. It looks soooo much better than it did before." How do you respond? Sarcasm goes a long way. Tell them how "kind and polite" they always are. And then give them a big fake smile. Believe me, it won't happen again.
