How to safely tap Silver Birch for its sap

In this video I'll show you how to safely tap Silver Birch for its sap.

The process demonstrated is one of a few methods that can be used to harvest the sap from a Birch tree in the most sympathetic way.

The species of Birch seen in the video is a Silver Birch (Betula Pendula) but this technique can be used on all species.
