What is Wix automation? Wix automation is the tool on Wix web development platform that allows users to get connected with their website visitors. Wix automation is a powerful tool through which people could send personalized messages and receive in-direct notifications when a visitor performs a specific action on their website.

From your website dashboard, go to the menu on the left side of the screen and choose the 'contacts and CRM' tab then select 'automations'. From this page, you could choose to create a new automation, choose a template for common events, access your saved automations, and more.

In order to create a new automation, click the 'add new automation' button. Start from editing the name of your automation by clicking the pencil icon that you will find beside 'new automation' title, and change this title to the name of your automation. The second step is choosing a trigger from the drop down list that is the most relevant for your automation - you should know that the more apps and elements that you add to your site, the more trigger options that you will have to choose from. If you have more than one form on your website, you could actually specify what form is the trigger. Now you will select an action, which is how you respond to a trigger.

If you choose 'send email to visitors' it will send personalized email to each visitor when triggered. You can actually customize the email that you send, adding the name and email that you want to send your emails from, edit the email template, and also test and preview your automation.

The last step here is to choose a time that you want to send your action on, whether you want it immediately, after a specific number of days; you will just have to set your customized time. You will also choose whether the visitors will receive this once or every time they trigger the action.

When you have got a green tick on each stage, you can click 'activate' which you are going to find on the top right on the page and this will create your new automation.

You can now see the new automation that you have just created on your automations dashboard. On the automation itself, you have the option to either make it active or inactive, and also click the three dots in order to edit this automation or completely delete it.
